Biography
Jong Wook Yoon is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice area is financial and capital markets.
Mr. Yoon handled corporate legal affairs at LG Uplus such as board of directors’ meetings, general meetings of shareholders, and mergers. Thereafter, for approximately nine years at the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), he served in key departments such as the Legal Affairs Office, Capital Markets Supervisory Division, Asset Management Supervisory Division, and Fintech Innovation Office, where he handled financial regulatory and supervisory administrative matters. Prior to joining our law firm, Mr. Yoon also practiced at another leading Korean law firm, during which he primarily handled advisory matters pertaining to financial investment business and capital market regulations, banking and specialized credit financial business regulations, security token offerings (STO) and digital finance regulations, as well as responding to licensing and sanctions on financial institutions.
Based on extensive hands-on experience spanning in-house corporate legal practice, financial supervisory authorities, and major law firms, Mr. Yoon provides clear and strategic legal counsel across a wide spectrum of financial matters, including licensing and authorization of financial companies, response to FSS inspections and sanctions, capital market regulations, and fintech and digital assets.
